The Customer's Problem
Right lift cable frayed and slipped off the drum. Door hung crooked and would not close evenly. Rollers were original builder-grade plastic and noisy.
Our Process
- 1
Secured and unloaded the spring before cable work.
- 2
Replaced both lift cables in a matched pair with 7x19 aircraft-grade galvanized cable.
- 3
Reseated the cables on the drums to factory pre-load and verified equal tension side-to-side.
- 4
Replaced all ten rollers with 13-ball sealed-bearing nylon rollers.
- 5
Re-balanced the door and ran ten full safety cycles to confirm even close and travel.
Outcome
Door now closes flat, runs quietly on nylon rollers, and is back to spec with paired aircraft-grade cables.
